
Lou Young was a CBS 2 New York news anchor and reporter for 36 years. He was seen in millions of homes in the tri-state area. Lou won 10 Emmys and covered several major news events, including the U.S invasion of Iraq. He also reported from Ground Zero on 9/11. Lou is currently involved in local politics as a village trustee in Mamaroneck. He told us about his background and how he got into broadcast journalism. Lou discussed the elements that make a successful news story and gave examples of news events where the appearance was much different than reality.
