Simon Rosner is a metalwork hobbyist. He discussed Lost Wax Casting, whereby molten metal is used to create 3D objects. Simon explained the history of this process which has been used since 3,000 B.C. for manufacturing and fine art. He also described the Maker Movement, a contemporary sub-culture which uses open-sourced “how-tos” for experimentation, tinkering, building, and creating.
